From College Station animal control:
On 7/15/17, College Station Animal Control recieved a report of an animal bite that occurred on 7/13/17.
The victim advised around 2000 hours on 7/13/17, he was at 201 Holleman Dr W (John Crompton Park) with his puppy. The victim advised his puppy was on leash but slipped away from him.
The puppy ran over to a H/M sitting on a park bench with a pitbull tied to it. The victim stated he reached down to pick up his puppy and the pitbull bit the victim.
The victim described the pitbull as all black with a white strip on its chest. The victim described the H/M as medium build, light skin tone and about 5’9″.
College Station Animal Control is asking for help from the public in locating the dog involved in the bite and its owner.
The dog needs to be located and observed to rule out possible rabies exposure to the victim.
