FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) _ More soldiers are expected on the witness stand for the second week of a hearing to determine whether an Army psychiatrist will go to trial for last year’s deadly shootings at Fort Hood.
The Article 32 hearing resumes Monday for Maj. Nidal Hasan, who is charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder in the Nov. 5 shootings at the Texas Army post.
More than two dozen witnesses have testified so far. Among those expected this week are the two Fort Hood police officers credited with stopping the gunman.
The hearing’s presiding officer, Col. James L. Pohl, has said hewants to hear from everyone who was wounded during the rampage, which was the worst attack on an American military base.
