Brazos County commissioners heard from more than a dozen people at a public hearing about making permanent the ability to vote on election day anywhere in the county.
County clerk Karen McQueen says there is three weeks for the Secretary of State to give approval if the county wants to use voting centers in the March primary. That’s because ballots have to be mailed to members of the military.
McQueen says the Secretary of State will get a letter from the county judge, along with surveys from voters during the November general election and a recording of the public hearing.
