Bryan Police Announce Multiple Arrests in Multiple Armed Robberies

Update January 6, 2016:

The final suspect was arrested on Aggravated Robbery warrants last night when officer interrupted a burglary at Cube Smart located at 741 N. Harvey Mitchell Pkwy.

Bryan police has announced three teenagers have been arrested in a string of five robberies in less than two hours earlier this month.

17 year old Ares Deleon of Bryan was arrested on five counts of armed robbery. He is held in the Brazos County jail on bonds totaling $250,000 dollars.

A 16 year old unidentified male was arrested for two armed robberies and one robbery.

A 15 year old unidentified male was arrested for two armed robberies.

The BPD news release did not break down the trio’s participation in which incidents that took place November 14.

The investigation is ongoing.

Here’s the original news release from Bryan police:

On November 14, 2015 between the house of 9:40pm and 11:30pm a series of five Robberies/Aggravated Robberies occurred. At least three suspects were involved including two black males and one lighter skinned male one of which was armed with a firearm. Two were wearing dark hooded jackets and a third one was wearing a white long sleeved shirt. The following is the list of robberies:

9:42pm 2200 Leonard Rd (Bel Air Mobile Home Park) – Two suspects approached a juvenile male victim and attempted to take his cell phone. They were unsuccessful and no one was injured. The suspects fled in a dark colored single cab pickup truck.

10:00pm 1200 block of Bittle – Three suspects approached three adult male victims. One suspect was armed and fired a warning shot. The suspects fled in a dark single cab pickup truck with victim’s personal belongings. No one was injured.

10:25pm 2000 block of E Villa Maria – Two suspects, one armed with a firearm, approached a juvenile victim and demanded his belongings. The victim did not have anything and was struck by one of the suspects. The victim was not injured and the suspects fled in a Chevy Suburban.

10:30pm 1100 Esther – Two suspects, one armed with a firearm, approached an adult male and demanded his personal belongings. After obtaining his personal belongings they fled in what was described as a silver Tahoe. The victim was not injured.

11:00pm 1600 Finfeather Rd (Kreneks Mobile Home Park) – Several suspects approached four victims and demanded personal property. Once property was obtained the suspects fled in a dark colored pickup truck and silver Tahoe. The truck collided with one of the victim’s parked and unattended vehicles. No one was injured.

The vehicles believed to have been involved in the Robberies have been recovered in Bryan. One vehicle was left behind Finfeather Grocery where the suspects fled on foot a K9 track located several pieces of physical evidence. The suspects have not been located at this time.

At this time the investigation has been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division and is still ongoing.
