CSPD Respond to Halloween Gunfire and 13 Burglaries

Halloween business for College Station police included investigating a large party that ended with gunfire. Officers were called to a home on Keynon Court, near Holleman South and Cain, on the report of a fight involving at least 40 people over inappropriate remarks made to multiple women. One man who told police he was threatened by another man with a golf club got his gun out of his vehicle and fired one round in the air. The CSPD news release described the shooter as a victim in fear for his safety and was not arrested. The man with the golf club, described by police as the suspect because he was part of the group that initiated the fight, drove away in the dark colored truck before officers arrived. The suspect is described as a six foot white or Hispanic man and between 20 and 23 years old. No injuries were reported.

College Station police also took 13 reports of burglaries. That included one home and five vehicles on Bardell Court, a cul-de-sac off Southwest Parkway two blocks from South Knoll elementary school. Five other homes and two vehicles were also hit on Saturday and early Sunday morning.
