61st Annual I Love America Celebration is July 3rd

Due to the pandemic, last year’s I Love America Celebration was turned into a donation drive for the Salvation Army.

This year, the donation drive returns, along with a full day of family fun at the Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater.

Chairwoman Amy Raines said the donation drive will be held at the Bob and Wanda Senior and Community Center from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. The event at Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater starts at 2 p.m.

“We’ll have the kid’s zone open, which is games and art activities. We will also have food trucks, vendors, non-profit booths, and live entertainment,” said Raines.

At 7 p.m., the family movie “Miracle” will be shown, followed by a patriotic laser show at 9:30 p.m.

Raines said the College Station Noon Lions Club is excited to host the event, but help is needed.

“We need so many volunteers. We need volunteers for set up and tear down on Friday and Sunday. And we need volunteers all day on Saturday,” said Raines.

Free parking is available at Post Oak Mall.
