COLLEGE STATION– With a record crowd of 45,212 in attendance on a sun-splashed Saturday at Kyle Field, Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns en route to a 43-23 maroon victory in the Maroon and White Spring Game presented by Wells Fargo.

Manziel played the first half and one series of the second half, completing 24-of-30 passes on the day. He hit Derel Walker, Edward Pope and Brandon Williams with scoring strikes, completing his final 11 attempts of the first half.
The Aggie defense, playing as the White team, had a strong second half — allowing only a 34-yard Taylor Bertolet field goal near the end of the game and picking up points in the half with four forced punts, a fourth-down stop and a sack.
