A Bryan man who admitted in Brazos County district court this month (October 8) to possessing almost nine pounds of methamphetamine in May 2022 receives a 45 year prison term.

That’s part of a plea agreement in three criminal cases and five felony charges against 48 year old Domingo Galvan, Jr.

The prison time also covers guilty pleas in an October 2022 case of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and evading arrest and another October 22 charge of evading arrest.

The meth was found during a traffic stop in May of 2022. That’s after a DPS trooper stopped a car driven by Galvan on Highway 6 for failing to stay in his lane, failing to signal a lane change, and for following traffic too closely.

A passenger in Galvan’s car is awaiting trial on a felony drug charge and two other drug possession charges.

And online jail records shows Galvan is also being held for Walker and Waller county authorities.
