Bryan Police Arrests For Terroristic Threats And Drunk Driving After SUV Strikes Light Poles And Playground Equipment

A Bryan man remains in jail following his arrest early Saturday morning on charges of threatening two people who were walking home from Northgate. An off duty Bryan police officer working security at a Bryan hospital spotted 20 year old Anthony Green Jr., who was in the emergency room for treatment of a stab wound to his right foot. According to the arrest report, Green sustained the injury when his knife, which has a seven inch blade, fell out of his sheath and went through his shoe. That took place as he was getting out of a car to confront a man and woman who Green said were yelling at him. Green also denies pointing the knife and making verbal threats.

Students and employees returning to Bryan’s Bonham elementary school on Monday may have seen damaged playground equipment. That’s after a S-U-V struck the equipment around 2 a.m. Sunday with enough force to damage the front end of the vehicle and deploy an airbag. Two light poles were also knocked down and lying in the roadway. Bryan police report the driver was standing next to his vehicle when officers arrived. According to the arrest report, 19 year old Roberto Garcia of Bryan was arrested for D-W-I after his breath alcohol level was measured at almost than twice the legal limit at .158 and .153. Garcia is out of jail after posting a $4,000 dollar bond.
