Bryan Council Taking Road Trip To North Texas

The Bryan city council is scheduled to be in north Texas on Wednesday.

Members are scheduled to be at seven locations in four cities.

The itinerary begins in Heath, which is a city along the east side of Lake Ray Hubbard east of Dallas. The council meets with the developer of a restaurant, an outdoor entertainment area, and adjacent office building.

From Heath, the group goes to a park in nearby Rockwall to spend an hour observing how pickleball is played.

From Rockwall, it’s on to downtown Dallas to visit with developers of two restaurants with an indoor/outdoor concept.

Then the council finishes up with three stops in Roanoke, which is east of the Texas Motor Speedway north of Fort Worth. First, the council will visit Roanoke’s new city hall. That’s followed by visiting two more restaurants, one which has a live entertainment component.

The agenda for Wednesday’s road trip, according to the city’s website:

A. Tour of HUB Restaurant and outdoor entertainment areas and tour adjacent office building with developer (The HUB, 4282 Ridge Road, Heath, TX 75032) (approximately 10:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.)

B. Recess for travel to next location on tour

C. Presentation by local pickleball professional on how the sport is played and observation of pickleball game (Harry Myers Park, 815 East Washington Street, Rockwall, TX 75087) (approximately 10:50 a.m.-11:50 a.m.)

D. Recess for travel time to next location on tour

E. Tour the Rustic Restaurant and indoor/outdoor concept with developer (Rustic Restaurant, 3656 Howell Street, Dallas, TX 75204) (approximately 12:30 p.m.-1:45 p.m.)

F. Recess for travel time to next location on tour

G. Tour Mutts Restaurant and indoor/outdoor concept with developer (Mutts, 2889 Cityplace W. Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75204) (approximately 1:45 p.m.-2:15 p.m.)

H. Recess for travel time to next location on tour

I. Presentation of relevant development concepts and tour of new city hall building with city representatives (Roanoke City Hall, 500 South Oak Street, Roanoke, TX 76262) (approximately 3:15 p.m.-4:45 p.m.)

J. Recess for travel time to next location on tour

K. Tour Chop Shop Live Restaurant and discuss live entertainment concept with developer (Chop Shop Live, 309 South Oak Street, Roanoke, TX 76262) (approximately 5:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.)

L. Recess for travel time to next location on tour

M. Tour Babe’s Chicken Restaurant (104 North Oak Street, Roanoke, TX 76262) (approximately 5:45 p.m.-7:00 p.m.)
