One of two reports of gunfire in Bryan the night of July 4th was in a neighborhood where gunfire was exchanged the evening of May 28th.

A Bryan police spokesman would not tell WTAW News if there is any connection to what happened outside an apartment complex on Finfeather Road between Bittle and Northcrest.

On July 1st, a 17 year old was arrested in the May 28th shooting on charges of firing at a father and his 19 and 20 year old sons.

A BPD arrest report said the man who was arrested, Daniel Elvis Hernandez, told officers he was fired at and that his intention was to fight one of the sons.

As of July 10th, Hernandez is jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $300,000 dollars and a hold for juvenile authorities in an undisclosed case.
