DWI Arrests Following Weekend Crashes in College Station

A Bryan woman with five prior DWI convictions is in jail, accused of driving drunk and causing a three vehicle crash in College Station Saturday night on Texas near Walton. Police report two people in other vehicles were taken to the hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries, including a woman who was eight months pregnant. According to the arrest report, a SUV driven by 53 year old Mary McGehee rear-ended a car with enough force the trunk was crumpled to almost where the back seat should have been. According to the arrest report, over the past 25 years McGehee has three prior DWI convictions in Texas and two in Florida.

College Station police report five parked vehicles were hit Saturday during the midnight hour near Harvey Mitchell and Southwood. According to the arrest report, officers who found the suspect’s car nearby were approached by a woman who said her boyfriend admitted to the hit and runs while driving under the influence. 31 year old Derek Webber was taken to the hospital to be treated to a gash to the head, then he was arrested for DWI and striking an unattended car, a truck, and three SUV’s.
