For the second time this year, classes at Southwood Valley Elementary in College Station were cancelled due to waterline problems.
After classes began Monday morning a broken waterline was found. Because repairs were expected to take all day, classes were called off.
Students who were not picked up by noon were taken to College Station High School (CSHS).
Southwood Valley buses did not run their afternoon routes and there was no Kids Klub at Southwood Valley.
Also affected was a field trip involving third and fourth grade dual language students, who were taken to CSHS for pickup by their parents at 12:20 p.m.
Students were also dismissed September 13 due to a leak outside the building.
According to the district’s website, as of 4 p.m. Monday classes would resume on Tuesday.
