Local Submarine Veterans to Meet

Event Details

  • Date:

On January 18, 2020 at American Legion Post 159, 101 Waco St, Bryan TX beginning at 9am, all local submarine qualified personnel, discharged, retired or active members of the U.S. Submarine force are invited to meet, share your experiences and honor the men on “Eternal Patrol.”

Service in Submarines is an inherently dangerous business, and it takes a special breed to earn “the pin” signifying membership in this special fraternity.  Since the founding of the US Submarine force in 1900, Sixty-five submarines and over 4,000 men have given up their lives.  The great majority of these young lives were lost during WWII when fifty-two submarines were lost.

Whether ‘your pin’ is gold or silver, and regardless of your rank or rate, you are welcome as a ‘brother of the ‘phin’.

United States Submarine Veterans is a National Veterans Fraternal Organization chartered in 1964 and recognized by the IRS as a 501c19 entity.  With over 12,500 members and 171 chapters nationwide, it is the largest organization of U.S. submarine qualified veterans in the world.  Visit or call 360-337-2978 for more information.
