Traces of the Trade: Dinner, Movie and Storytelling

October 16, 2018 @ 6:00 pm
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church
217 W 26th St
Bryan, TX 77803

At this special gathering, we will share a meal and watch Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North, an Emmy nominated documentary that follows the DeWolfe family as they discover their ancestors’ history as leading slave traders in Rhode Island. Dain Perry, who is in the movie, and his wife Constance will join us and facilitate a time of sharing stories in a safe environment following the screening.

Our goal is to become better acquainted with one another and with our shared history. We will not deny the painful truth of slavery and the slave trade and we will also not engage in blame or shame. All are welcome and a free dinner will be provided. Free ticket required and seating is limited.
