College Station Police Department is proud to announce the continued community partnership with Voices for Children in the honoring of fathers and father-figures with a day of fishing at Cy Miller Pond. This family centered event will be held on June 16th from 8am to 12pm. It will feature fishing the freshly stocked pond (with Catfish) next to the College Station Police Department, Texas Parks and Wildlife education stations, and Police and Fire Department vehicles on display.

A raffle, whose proceeds will go entirely to Voices for Children, will be held for the opportunity to win Academy gift cards as well as items generously donated by Legacy Ace Hardware to include a Stihl blower and Camelbak backpack. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the event for five dollars each or five chances for twenty dollars. Winner(s) need not be present to win. In addition, the first fifty people who arrive at the event will receive a free fold out chair, courtesy of Academy.

Voices for Children is the local, Court Appointed, Special Advocates program whose mission is to recruit, train, and support volunteers from the community to be advocates for abused and neglected children in the foster care system.

Cy Miller Pond is located at the College Station Police Department, 2611 Texas Avenue.
