Consol and Bryan in playoffs

Only one more Friday night of the regular-season of high school football but we know that A&M Consolidated and Bryan will both be playing post-season and that Rudder will not.

Consol clinched at least a co-championship with a 62-45 scorefest over Harker Heights Friday. It was the Tigers 8th straight win as they will finish the regular season hosting Belton this Friday night.

Consol will be the top seed out of 12-5A in the Division I playoffs.

Bryan will be the second seed in the Division I playoffs. They clinched a playoff spot despite a 36-27 loss to Belton on Friday. Losses by Harker Heights and Temple gave Bryan the fourth spot regardless of their outcome this Friday at home with Temple.

The Rudder Rangers will celebrate their first ever winning season but nothing more after their 41-23 loss to Connally Friday. The Rangers will wrap up their third season of football at Elgin Friday night.

Down the road, Navasota wrapped up a playoff spot with a  57-14 win over Smithville.
