Business Announcements From The B/CS Chamber Of Commerce Economic Outlook Conference

More than 500 attending the Bryan/College Station chamber of commerce annual economic outlook conference were the first to hear several business announcements.

College Station’s economic development director, Natalie Ruiz, brought up multiple businesses coming to the former Sears store at Post Oak Mall.

 

Ruiz says expansion continues Century Square and at Jones Crossing. Ruiz says phase one at Jones Crossing is nearly 100 percent leased.

 

The president of the Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation announced employment at the College Station branch of Boston-based Nift…which was originally set at 400 when operations began in July 2018…is expected to reach 1,000 by the end of this year.

Matt Prochaska said Nift “has found a deep pool of talent and is helping to retain students after they graduated, which is a key objective in our community in economic development strategy.”

 

Nift is a gift card marketing system used by local retailers.
