Brazos County’s Health District Director Reports On Tracking Diseases To Representatives Of Local Government

An update on the work at the Brazos County health district (BCHD) was presented during the last meeting of the Brazos County intergovernmental committee (IGC).

BCHD director Santos Navarette says they are tracking measles cases and asked that children get vaccinated.

Navarette also explained how the health district takes care of residents who have active and latent cases of tuberculosis.

And being in the third summer period without pandemic restrictions, Navarette says BCHD continues to track COVID cases.

The Brazos County IGC is composed of representatives of the county, city council and school board members in Bryan and College Station, Texas A&M, Blinn College, and related organizations.
