Brazos County Election Workers Get A Pay Raise

Brazos County commissioners have approved a pay raise for election workers of from $8.50 to $12.00 per hour.

Elections administrator Trudy Hancock says the first raise in many years reflects the state raising its maximum pay.

Hancock also says there is always a need for election workers, due to increasing technology and long hours…noting the median age in Brazos County is 70.

Hancock says those who are interested can contact the Brazos County Democratic and Republican party offices, who provide funding for election workers.
