DOVER, Del. (AP) _ Jeff Gordon won the Sprint Cup race at Dover International yesterday. ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) _ Lisalverto Bonilla became the first pitcher in Texas Rangers history to win his first three career starts with a 5-1 victory over the Houston Astros last night. Cowboy Morris Claiborne’s Status Still Unclear

IRVING, Texas (AP) _ Coach Jason Garrett still has to answer questions about the Dallas Cowboys defense. Garrett was asked yesterday about third-year cornerback Morris Claiborne. Claiborne was beaten for two touchdowns before his late interception in Sunday’s 34-31 victory at St. Louis. Garrett would not say whether Claiborne’s starting job was in jeopardy.
