A Bryan Man Awaits A Federal District Court Trial On A Charge Of Wire Fraud

A Bryan man is scheduled to return to federal court in March to be tried on a charge of stealing more than $855,000 dollars from his former employer.

According to the U.S. attorney’s office, 58 year old James Day Burke entered a not guilty plea on Wednesday to a charge of wire fraud.

Burke is accused of making unauthorized charges on company credit cards for personal use over an eight year period…beginning around May 2010 and ending around August 2018.

Burke remains free on a $50,000 dollar bond.
