Bryan Broadcasting’s Candy 95 Wins Its Fourth National Association Of Broadcasters Crystal Award

For the fourth time, Bryan Broadcasting’s Candy 95 wins a national award for community service. Candy 95 is one of ten radio stations receiving a National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Crystal Award. Bryan Broadcasting operations manager and Candy 95 afternoon host Rob Mack accepted the award Tuesday at the NAB’s Radio Show in Las Vegas. Candy 95 previously won the Crystal in 2012, 2016, and 2019 and has been a finalist a total of nine times. Also among this year’s 50 finalists was WTAW.

Two Local Men Wanted On Multiple Criminal Warrants Are Arrested After Police See Them Violate Pedestrian Laws

A Bryan police officer watching a man walk on the wrong side of the road led to finding out that the man was wanted on ten criminal warrants. That resulted in the arrest of 30 year old Randy Graves of Bryan. Since his arrest on April 9, online jail records show Graves was placed on community supervision on eight warrants from Bryan municipal court which involve variety of traffic charges. Graves was still jailed as of April 16 on warrants accusing him of family violence assault in March of 2023, causing a traffic accident in August of 2021, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana at the time of his latest arrest. Bonds in those cases totals $20,000 dollars. A College Station police officer learned that the man he saw not using a crosswalk while crossing Texas Avenue at night was wanted on criminal warrants in four cases. That led to the man going to the Brazos County jail for the 50th time in almost 34 years. Jail records show bonds previously posted by 53 year old Gilbert Ontiveros Vasquez were surrendered in pending trials on felony theft and misdemeanor criminal trespassing charges. He was placed on community supervision on a warrant from Bryan municipal court. And Vasquez faces a new charge of failing to identify himself. Vasquez, who was booked April 11th, remains held as of April 16th in lieu of bonds totaling $18,000 dollars.

Bryan Man Admits In Brazos County District Court This Month To Drug Possession Charges From 2014, 2015, And 2017

A Bryan man appeared in Brazos County district court April 10th to admit to felony crimes that took place in 2014, 2015, and 2017. Online court records show 48 year old Emanuel Milton had 18 trial dates before admitting to two counts of possessing a controlled substance in May 2015. Milton’s ten year prison sentence also covers admitting to assault causing bodily injury that took place in May 2017 and violating probation from prior convictions of drug possession and evading arrest in March of 2014. Online records show this was the 30th time Milton was booked in the Brazos County jail since February of 2008.
