Vote Postponed on College Station-CVB-A&M Agreement

It will be another two weeks before the College Station City Council considers agreements related to the redevelopment of Kyle Field. But that didn’t stop 90 minutes of discussion Thursday night.

The 30 year proposal giving $36 million dollars in hotel occupancy tax money provides access to seven facilities at A&M.

The President of the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), Shannon Overby, says large organizations are wanting to book space.

The CVB will be in charge of arranging venues with A&M.

City staff asked for more time to finalize the contracts, which the council will consider July 11.

Brazos County has yet to consider contracts with the CVB and the university.
