Thursday night’s College Station City Council includes three agreements related to the Kyle Field redevelopment project.

The 30 year deal, which commits $36 million dollars from the hotel occupancy tax, gives access to the Convention and Visitors Bureau to several A&M facilities.

CVB board president Hunter Goodwin says the access comes with no cost in some cases along with discounted parking.

The list of facilities are new meeting space at Kyle Field, the Zone Club, Reed Arena, the Memorial Student Center, the Rudder complex, and the Penberthy sports complex.

Goodwin says this opens the door to hosting large state and national events.

The deal was also instrumental in not moving Aggie football games out of town during the construction period.
