Larry J. Ringer Library Official Reopening September 23rd

The city of College Station announces the reopening of the Larry J. Ringer library will be Monday, September 23rd.

During Thursday’s city council workshop, mayor Karl Mooney announced the library will be hosting an Exploring History lunch lecture on September 18 at 11:30 a.m.

The library was closed last November with the original expectation to finish this June. Then the opening was delayed until August, then early September.

Completing the more than $6 million dollar expansion and renovation…approved by voters 11 years ago…was delayed in part due to the manufacturing and delivery of $460,000 dollars of new shelving.

According to a tweet from the city of College Station, details of the reopening will follow in the future.
