Bryan Police Release Identity Of Man Found Dead On North Texas

Bryan police has identified a man who died after apparently being struck by a hit and run driver Monday during the midnight hour on North Texas Avenue.

The victim was identified as 43 year old Albert Hernandez Martinez Jr. of Bryan.

BPD continues its investigation into the circumstances of his death. Anyone with information is asked to call BPD at 979-209-5300 or Brazos County Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS (8477).

News release from BPD:

On July 1, 2019, at 12:30 p.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of N. Texas Ave. for a deceased person in the roadway. Officers arrived and found a male in the northbound lane of Texas Ave with obvious signs of trauma. It is believed that the male was struck by a vehicle but circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this time. At this time Texas Ave. is closed between 21st Street and Martin Luther King Jr. St. The identity of the male is not being released at this time pending family notification.
