B/CS Salvation Army Announces The Winner Of The 12th Red Kettle Mayor’s Challenge

The Bryan/College Station Salvation Army has announced last Saturday’s Red Kettle Mayor’s Challenge generated a combined $6,606.90.

That’s up from last year’s combined total of $4,894.00.

For the 12th straight year, the mayor of Bryan won the bell-ringing contest.

Contributions to Andrew Nelson’s kettle totaled $4,191.40.

The kettle manned by College Station mayor Karl Mooney collected $2,415.50.

More than 20 kettle locations in the twin cities will be in operation through December 24th.

Captain Paul Ryerson says volunteer bell ringing opportunities are still available.

Individuals, families, businesses, and civic organizations are invited to sign up online at salvationarmybcs.org.
