Roof Repairs At College Station City Hall

At the same meeting the College Station city council approved the design of the new city hall, the council approved $350,000 dollars to replace the roofs at the current city hall and annex.

The replacements are due to hail damage last March that has resulted in summer and fall rains pouring into the buildings.

The work began this week with the two-story section on the north end of city hall.

City officials hope to finish that area this week and then move to the next section.

Weather permitting, it will take three or four weeks to complete city hall…then crews will move to the annex.

According to background information given to the council, insurance will pick up about $180,000 dollars or almost half the cost of the roof replacements.
