Thursday update:
A footnote from the arrest of the Bryan man who eluded local law enforcement on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.
According to the arrest report from Bryan police, 35 year old Marcel Demond Oliver was found inside a blue College Station recycling container next to an air conditioning unit.
The decision by a BPD officer to lift the lid on the container ended a two and a half hour search that began after Oliver jumped out of an apartment window.
The fugitive, who is in the Brazos County jail for the 12th time since October 2013, is held on bonds totaling $360,000 dollars.
Tuesday update:
A Bryan who was the subject of a four hour manhunt Monday afternoon was found Tuesday morning.
A news release from Bryan police did not reveal how they located 25 year old Marcel Demond Oliver, but he was found around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at a residence in the 1100 block of Southwest Parkway in College Station.
For a second time, Oliver ran away from the scene. He was captured about two and a half hours later about a block away in the 1800 block of Shadowwood.
Oliver’s arrest warrant was for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He was also arrested on three traffic warrants and new charges of evading arrest twice…on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning…and for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Monday 8 p.m. update
Bryan police has announced the suspension of a manhunt in College Station.
BPD reports an arrest warrant was issued for 25 year old Marcel Demond Oliver of Bryan on a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
A Brazos County deputy sheriff stopped a car driven by Oliver on Navarro between Pedernales and Welsh, then Oliver ran away.
Local agencies spent about four hours on the ground and in the air before the search was suspended.
Monday 5 p.m. update
The lockout at Consolidated high school ended around 4:45 p.m., or about 90 minutes after it was announced.
College Station police announced the search area was bordered between Texas and Wellborn and between Holleman and Deacon.

A manhunt is underway in College Station.
College Station police called for residents in the area of Pedernales and Rio Grande to stay indoors, and College Station ISD put Consolidated High School on a lockout…which means no one is being allowed in or out of the building.
Law enforcement on the ground and in the air are looking for an unidentified man wanted by Bryan police on an unidentified felony charge.
Around 2:30 p.m., a Brazos County sheriff’s deputy stopped a car on Navarro between Welsh and Pedernales. The man ran away, resulting in the search.
