Invitation to Texas A&M Howdy Farm’s Open House

Those who go to the Brazos Valley Farmers Market in downtown Bryan have seen products from the Texas A&M Howdy Farm.

Saturday afternoon, you’re invited to an open house at the farm, located on west campus along Horticulture Road.

Spokeswoman Marissa Albers says you’ll meet students and volunteer community members and learn about sustainable farming.

The open house is also your opportunity to leave with Aggie grown products as well as plants to start a garden of your own.

Saturday’s open house, which runs from noon until four, also includes workshops, children’s activities, and tours of the farm.

Other activities are a rain garden workshop, an opportunity to paint new recycling bins for the farm, sidewalk chalk for kids, flower pot painting, free milkweed, butterfly education, and snacks.
