Bryan, Texas – The City of Bryan is seeking input from residents regarding their thoughts, opinions, and ideas on the future of the City of Bryan at the Bryan Big Ideas & Parks Master Plan Workshop on April 14, 2016, starting at 6 p.m. at Jones Elementary, located at 1400 Pecan Street in Bryan. These ideas will be used in creating the framework of the update to the City of Bryan Comprehensive Plan. Interactive input stations will be available between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., and a presentation from the planning team outlining the Comprehensive Plan update process will be held at 6:30 p.m.

In October, the Development Services Department began the process of updating the City’s Comprehensive Plan and Parks Master Plan. The Comprehensive Plan is a long-range guide that provides the City staff, residential and commercial developers, and industry leaders direction for community development and redevelopment, and the Parks Master Plan details ways to enhance existing parks and plan for future needs.

An online survey was created for anyone interested in sharing their visions for the development of Bryan and for troubleshooting existing issues within the community. The information will aid the planning team in becoming familiar with Bryan from the perspective of its citizens, stakeholders and employees.
