Bryan Collegiate High School Hosts Statewide Meeting

A statewide group of educators gathered in Bryan Wednesday to learn about a high school partnership with a local community college.

The principal of Bryan Collegiate high school, Tommy Roberts, says the meeting included superintendents and other campus leaders, the Texas Education Association, and the educational arm of the Community Foundations of Texas.

Edwards says early college high schools is something that is hard to pull off. But it is something that is definitely doable with the support of the community, the school district, and in Bryan’s case, what Roberts called an amazing partner in Blinn College.

The Bryan ISD-Blinn partnership, which began in 2007, currently has 475 students taking high school and college classes.
