Brazos County sheriff’s deputies looking for one man north of Navasota last Friday arrested another man…who is a convicted murderer…on weapons and drug charges.

61 year old Charles Ray Craddock is also in jail on a charge of violating parole.

According to the arrest report, deputies who were given permission to search the home between the Navasota River and Highway 6, and between Millican and Navasota, found four rifles, a loaded handgun, and methamphetamine.

The arrest report noted Craddock was released on parole almost six years ago after he was sentenced in August 1990 to 45 years for a Brazos County murder that took place in June of 1989.
