Upcoming Opportunities To Meet And Hear From Republican CD-17 Candidates

There are multiple opportunities to meet and hear from most if not all of the 12 the Republican candidates running for congressional district 17, which includes Brazos County.

That includes two candidate forums focusing on rural issues. The first is Saturday morning (January 11) from ten until noon sponsored by the Vision 2020 group. That gathering is in Wheelock at the Bloodworth community center.

The Grassroots Victory 2020 group is sponsoring another rural forum the evening of the 28th at the Jewett Civic Center.

Spokesman Paul Rieger says the first of their forums is Tuesday night (January 14) at Smitty K’s on Highway 30. The following Tuesday (January 21), there is a forum in Waco at Texas State Technical College.

The times of all three of the Grassroots Victory 2020 forums begin at 6 p.m. with a meet and greet period, followed at 6:30 with forum questions.
