Bryan Council Hires Its Second Superpark Project Manager

The Bryan city council is in the process of spending almost $400,000 dollars in the first year and a half on private firms hired to administer the construction of the new superpark.

The council at its last meeting, without comment, unanimously approved a 12 month contract for an amount not to exceed $168,000 dollars with Houston based MFE, LLC.

According to background information provided by the city, “For approximately two years the City has utilized the expertise of MFE, L.L.C. for Professional Real Estate/Business Development Consulting and Project Management Services.”

The president of MFE will report to city staff, provide monthly reports, and be the point of contact for all elements of the superpark project. A list of 20 duties includes negotiating contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

According to the city’s background information, this is the same person who worked with the city in the construction of the Axis Pipe and Tube plant.
