Bryan police responded at two in the morning on Wednesday to a report of a rape a block away from the downtown fire station with the suspect barricaded inside a home.

After bringing out the department’s armored vehicle and ten officers armed with assault rifles and shotguns, it turned out to be a false report.

According to the arrest report, 31 year old Jeremy Andrew Ramirez told officers the mother of his children was the victim.

Officers learned the woman did not live there.

And the occupants who have resided there for ten years said they yelled at Ramirez to get off their back porch.

Then the occupants found Ramirez inside the house after he entered through the unlocked front door.

The arrest report did not state whether Ramirez was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

Ramirez went to jail for the fourth time since May of last year.

According to online court records, he was sentenced to eight months in jail in August of last year after pleading guilty to misdemeanor family violence assault and vehicle burglary.

And he was released from jail June 6th after serving about three months for failing to identify himself and tampering with a drug test.

Ramirez is out of jail after posting a $4,000 dollar bond.
