Arrests On Charges Of Aggravated Assault Of A Neighbor, Multiple Sexual Assaults Of A Child, And Illegal Possession Of 44 Types Of Ecstasy

A Bryan man living at an eastside apartment tells police he struck his neighbor in the head with a wooden baseball bat because the victim had been driving him crazy for three years. 65 year old James Macik was arrested last Saturday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to the Bryan police arrest report, Macik told officers the neighbor had been slamming the door and making noise at all hours of the night. Another neighbor told officers they saw Macik continue to hit the victim after the victim fell to the floor. Officers found a bat with blood and hair that matched the victim. Blood was found in a hallway, a wall, and a rug. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of multiple head injuries. Macik is out of jail after posting a $10,000 dollar bond.

A College Station man tells police he had more than 50 sexual encounters with a young teenaged victim about four years ago. According to the College Station police arrest report, 38 year old Josue Leal confirmed what happened the day after the victim reported what happened. Leal, who was arrested last Thursday for sexual assault of a child, is out of jail after posting $30,000 dollars in bonds the following day.

A Bryan police officer finding a man lying on a sidewalk by St. Joseph school at 3:30 last Sunday morning led to an arrest on drug charges. According to the arrest report, officers found a plastic grocery sack and a foil container thrown over a school fence by 29 year old Tristan Shivers of Bryan. Officers found 160 ecstasy pills with 44 different colors and/or designs. Shivers, who was taken to the Brazos County jail for the 14th time in nine and a half years, is free after posting a $16,000 dollar bond.
