Bond Revoked For A Bryan Man Arrested For Stabbing His Brother In Law & Failing To Appear Lands Another Bryan Man In Jail

Bond is revoked for a Bryan man accused of stabbing his brother in law who later died. 41 year old Deryl Jackson, Jr. was released July 11th on a $100,000 dollar bond. A judge granted a motion filed by the Brazos County district attorney’s office that Jackson failed to wear a GPS monitoring device, failed to report a change of address, and failed to call as directed for drug testing. Jackson was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the July fifth stabbing of Jevel Kinney of Houston near Neal Park.

A Bryan man who doesn’t show up for trials in four criminal cases is back in jail. 41 year old Lawrence Auston was arrested March 4th on charges of slamming a Bryan police officer to the ground, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and driving with an invalid license with a prior conviction. According to online records, he was released from jail June 25th after posting bonds totaling $22,000 dollars. An arrest warrant was issued after Auston failed to appear July 11th. He was arrested last Sunday, and remains in jail on bonds that were increased to $60,000 thousand dollars. It’s the 40th time Auston has been in jail since September of 1996.
