Grandchildren Of George H.W. & Barbara Bush Are Skydiving Over The Bush Library & Museum

The birth anniversaries of George and Barbara Bush continues Saturday at the Bush Library and Museum with the appearance of 14 of the 17 Bush grandchildren.

Bush Foundation president David Jones says the reunion includes skydiving to remember their “Gampy”.

Jones says a few of the grandchildren skydived with the former president, but others are doing this for the first time.

Before the skydiving, the grandchildren will be involved in a wreath laying ceremony at their grandparents gravesite.

Jones says the skydiving will be in groups of three or four, including spouses and girlfriends and boyfriends, in one hour intervals starting around 9 a.m. and continuing through the middle of the afternoon.

Then Saturday at 7 p.m., there will be special skydiving exhibition by the All Veterans Group led by Mike Elliott, Retired Sgt. 1st United States Army, Elite Member of the U.S. Army Parachute Team – Golden Knights – who has tandem-jumped every time with President Bush since the re-dedication of the Bush Library in 2007.

Jones says the Bush Museum and family gravesite will be open to the public on Saturday as scheduled.
