Prison For Continuous Sexual Assault Of Two Children, A Fifth DWI, And Assaulting A Woman

A Brazos County district court jury convicted a College Station man of continuous sexual abuse of two children under the age of 14. Then 24 year old Kevin Hernandez and prosecutors agreed to punishment of 30 years in prison with no possibility of parole. According to the Brazos County District Attorney’s office, Hernandez assaulted two boys between 2011 and 2013, when the victims were five and seven years old. In 2015, the older victim told his mother what happened, which led to the younger victim coming forward.

A Bryan man goes to prison following his fifth conviction for drunk driving. 62 year old Waymond Hawkins Jr. entered a plea agreement with the DA’s office from his arrest more than three years ago in Bryan. A charge of leading a police officer on a chase last year was dropped.

Another Bryan man entering a plea agreement was for squeezing the neck of a woman, throwing her to the ground, and threatening her with a box cutter. 25 year old Sergio Lino was ordered to serve six months in prison. After that time…which is called shock probation…the judge will determine if Lino will have to do additional time as part of a ten year sentence.
