National Weather Service Flood Aware Seminar Visits Bryan Friday Afternoon

The National Weather Service is hosting a public meeting about flood safety in Bryan on Friday afternoon.

Program leader Katie Landry-Guyton says the free Flood Aware seminar is for anyone wanting to learn more about flooding.

Landry-Guyton says after Hurricane Harvey, they realized how little the public knew about flood risks and what to do in case of a flood.

They start with the basics such as types of flooding, causes of flooding, and what the different watches and warnings mean.

The Flood Aware seminar is Friday afternoon at 1:30 on the Blinn College Villa Maria campus in Building D, room 141.
