Local Arrests On Charges Of Injuring A Baby And Assaulting Bryan Police And Brazos County Detention Officers

A College Station man is out of jail on bond following his recent arrest on a charge of injuring a seven week old girl last November. According to the arrest report from College Station police, the baby was transferred from a local hospital to Austin for treatment of a fractured femur and three fractured ribs. 22 year old Kellem Young first told Child and Protective Services workers the baby fell from her bed. Then he told doctors in Austin the baby rolled off a changing table while he was in another room. Those doctors told investigators the baby’s injuries were not consistent with Young’s explanation.

A Bryan man remains in jail on bonds totaling $142,000 dollars following two arrests last weekend. 40 year old Julian Dixon was arrested by Bryan police last Saturday initially on a warrant accusing him of making a terroristic threat three weeks ago. According to the arrest report, four officers were involved in taking Dixon into custody due to Dixon’s violent tendencies. Dixon is accused of assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, obstruction, and taking a weapon from an officer. The next day, Dixon is accused of assaulting three Brazos County detention officers. According to that arrest report, Dixon undressed in a cell in front of female inmates. There was no report of any of the officers requiring medical treatment after being struck and kicked.
