SUNSET, S.C. – Texas A&M finished fifth at the Clemson Invitational after the final round was cancelled due to inclement weather Tuesday. The Aggies, 3-under for the day at the time of suspension, reverted back to its 36-hole score of 1-under 577 when the final round was cancelled.

This marks the fourth time in five stroke play events that Texas A&M has finished inside the top five. For the third time this season, the Aggies finished an event under-par.

The tournament featured a stacked 18-team field, and Texas A&M finished in front of three top-25 teams and six top-50 squads.

Courtney Dow notched third top-10 finish of the season, placing tied for eighth with a 4-under 140. At the time of suspension, Dow had racked up six birdies through 12 holes on the par 72 / 6,260-yard course, and was tied for sixth place.

Ava Schwienteck and Amber Park each tied for 26th at even-par 144. Schwienteck was working on a bogey-free 2-under round at the time of suspension, but settled for her fifth top-30 finish of the season. Park has finished 26th-or-better in five of her last six tournaments.

Brooke Tyree tied for 57th at 148 (+4) and Katie Finley shot a 151 (+7) to finish tied for 75th.

Micheala Williams of Tennessee and Julie McCarthy of Auburn shared medalist honors at 8-under. No. 7 Vanderbilt won the event at 21-under par.

The Aggies begin postseason play April 17-21 at the 2019 SEC Championship, hosted at Greystone Golf & Country Club in Hoover, Alabama.
