Navasota ISD Finds Student Who Issued A False Threat

The Navasota school district superintendent says a student has admitted creating a rumor on social media Tuesday night that made false threats against Navasota junior high school.

The statement from Stu Musick did not include what if any punishment the student has received…other than to say it will be handled appropriately.

The Navasota school district and police are investigating a false threat that was made online Tuesday night.

According to a Navasota ISD Facebook post, the student in question did not make any threat towards the junior high school or students.

NISD’s post stated while the threat was “misinformation that has been fabricated by rumors”, the district “will also continue to take all necessary precautions to keep all students and staff safe while at school.”

Administrators also used the post to thank all students, parents, and community members who brought this concern to their attention.
