Bryan Police Investigating The Death Of A Man Found Lying In A Street

A Bryan man died early Friday morning, possibly by being run over.

Bryan police report an autopsy is being done on the victim, 54 year old Arnulfo Charles, whose body was found in the street on South College south of Coulter about 2:15 a.m.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Bryan police or Brazos County Crimestoppers.

News release from Bryan police:

On February 15, 2019, at 2:15 a.m. Officers responded to the 1500 block of S. College Ave for a person in the roadway.

A male, later identified as Arnulfo Charles age 54 of Bryan, was lying in the westbound lanes of S. College Ave.

He was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital where he passed away.

At this time the circumstances surrounding his death are unclear.

Due to the fact, he was found in the roadway leads us to believe he may have been struck by a vehicle but until we get autopsy reports we are unsure what caused his death.

The Bryan Police Department is asking anyone with information or who may have witnessed something to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 979-209-5300 or Crime Stoppers at
979-775-TIPS (8477).
