The College Station police department’s continuing efforts to look for vehicle burglars results in another arrest.

According to the arrest report, an officer on foot patrol reported at three in the morning seeing two cars that were close together driving the same direction in the area of Deacon and Rio Grande.

Both cars were going less than 30 miles per hour in a 40 mile per hour zone.

Two patrol vehicles started following what the officers described as suspicious driving behavior.

One of the cars being tailed eluded patrol, while the second was stopped after signaling a right turn but continued going straight ahead.

Officers found in the car a stolen purse and a stolen pistol.

That led to the arrest of the driver, 18 year old Curtis Owens of Hearne, on the theft charges as well as unlawful carrying of a weapon.
