Bryan School Board Sells The Sites Of Two Former Rural Schools & Approves Layout Of The District’s New CTE Center

The Bryan school district has two fewer plots of vacant land. That’s after the school board this week sold the sites of two former rural schools that were inherited when the district expanded many years ago. The board approved one of four offers for the former Moore school in Wixon Valley…a nearly nine acre tract…for $150,000 dollars. And one of three offers was approved for two acres at the former Rye School near Lake Bryan for $84,256.02. The more than $234,000 dollars the district will receive will go into Bryan ISD’s general fund budget.

The BISD board also approved the schematic designs for the district’s new career and technology education center.
