Three Arrests In One Of Two October Armed Robberies In Northgate

College Station police make two arrests in one of two armed robberies that took place in the Northgate district two weeks ago.

According to arrest reports, CSPD’s special investigations unit followed up on Crimestoppers tips and information from the victim and his cell phone.

That resulted in getting a search warrant at the suspect’s apartment. Officers found the victim’s wallet, a bag…and according to jail records an undisclosed amount of unidentified narcotics and marijuana.

18 year old Dominic Katan of College Station, who is accused of stabbing the victim in the rear…and 19 year old Matthew Garcia…who had brass knuckles but did not used them…both told officers they were threatened with a gun by a fourth person who was with the victim.

Katan and Garcia also told officers they went to the victim’s apartment at The Standard to buy marijuana from the victim.

And the victim, who was taken to a hospital for the treatment of his stab wounds, wound up in jail. 23 year old Christopher Letang of Sugar Land is being held on an unidentified parole violation charge.
