Bryan PD Arrests Follows 15 Calls To 9-1-1 And A Report From a Brazos Transit District Bus Driver

Bryan police responding to someone calling 9-1-1 15 times and hanging up learned the person making the calls was deaf and mute. The caller wrote on paper for officers that a woman in his house had arrest warrants. According to the arrest report, 55 year old Reba Benford of Hearne was wanted for violating parole and jumping bail from Brazos County district court. Benford, who was also charged with resisting arrest, was taken to the Brazos County jail for the 22nd time in 30 years according to online records.

Passengers on board a Brazos Transit District bus had a longer ride than planned. That’s after the bus driver called 9-1-1 to report a passenger smoking marijuana. After the bus stopped on Finfeather Road, police arrested 26 year old Bernard Davis Jr. of Bryan. In addition to the misdemeanor marijuana charge, Davis is jailed on bonds totaling $200,000 thousand dollars on residential burglary charges from Dallas.
